I’ve spent all of my career (>40yrs) in information technology so I think I do have the right of an opinion on different aspects of that trade. Recently the contract of my day job as a .Net developer expired. More time to run my own mISV, Sailsoft? We’ll see…
mISV stands for ‘Micro Independent Software Developer’. A mISV is a small, usually one person, software development house that develops and markets its own software. As such I develop B2B software for mainly the marine industry, a very niche market, though I occasionally do some B2C software as well.
Sailsoft is focussed primarily on NMEA simulating applications. NMEA stands for National Marine Electronics Association. NMEA has developed standards for exchanging information between nautical instruments. Sailsoft develops software to simulate the output of such nautical instruments.
Since this is a public blog I do not intent to tell you too much about my private live. Maybe you will pickup a bit of it between the lines of my articles , but that’s OK then.
